‘One
who doesn’t love the nature, can’t love anything in life.’
Environment pollution is the
biggest global killer affecting millions of people. It has been a great
challenge to the human health and the existence of other living beings. It
is one of the major and serious problems that is being faced by the developing
countries.
The main sources of pollution
are the increasing vehicular traffic and garbage. The petrol and diesel being
used in the vehicles gives out poisonous smoke. It contains dangerous gases
like carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide. The accumulating
garbage gives out foul smell and is the birth place of many communicable diseases. Various industries
pollute both the air and water by sending out poisonous smoke and waste matters
in water courses. The increasing felling of trees, using chemicals excessively
during cultivation, building dams and upcoming of congested localities have destroyed
the clean environment.
The pollution of air, water and soil is threatening the survival
of human beings causing many deadly diseases. The ecological balance of the earth is
being threatened. Air and water are polluted by various toxins. Most of
the aquatic animals are disappearing forever as water is
contaminated. The noise pollution
has destroyed the peacefulness of our surroundings.
The public consciousness is
the most effective way to minimize the environment pollution. Also, strict
rules and prompt implementation are mandatory. If we work together, we can
combat against the adversity of the environmental pollution.
Grading
system – A boon for Students

Evaluation is an essential
component of the education system. Evaluation helps in analyzing one’s own
understanding of the subjects by the students. Evaluation systems are also given
a fresh new look. The old traditional system of allocation of marks has been
uprooted and replaced by the modern grading system. The National Board
Examination grading system is a new step towards the new grading trend.
I basically like this system because
it reduces my stress regarding my scores. This also helps in increasing the
number of the students who will get good career opportunities. This eradicates
the inferiority complex among the students as the students who score 98% will
be preferred to student who scores 94%. Due to the emergence of this grading
system, this differentiation among students will have no room. Both will be bestowed
with an A+ grade and the preference given to them will be on the similar
footing.
For so many years our education
system has been examination oriented. The percentage of marks obtained in the
Board examination was considered a yardstick to measure an individual’s scholastic
attainments. The system imposed a heavy stress on the young students. They had
to work for fulfilling their own aspirations as well as the wishes of their
parents. The unhealthy competition in class also caused peer pressure. Students
used to become bookworms as they neared the board exams and gave us all co-scholastic
activities, games and even simple physical exercises. The grading system will destress
the students. They will score better as there’s no tension of boards and no
parental pressure.
Grading system surely curbs
the stress the students undergo in this competitive world. This will serve as an
encouragement to the slow learners as they will get better grades. This will
help them perform better in getting better career options. The traditional system was no
doubt helpful to those who were keen on knowing their marks. But the stressful
atmosphere induces the students to committing suicides. The Board of Secondary Education has designed
this system with a sole perspective of proving a stress -free environment to
the students.
