Aayush is suffering from obesity. He has difficulty in choosing clothes that fit his size. He easily gets tired and likes to sleep or lie on his head. He is at greater risk for a wide number of health conditions. They include asthma, heart disease, diabetes, and sleep disorders. He is more likely to be teased.

Firstly, he should stop eating calorie-rich, sugar-filled and salty snacks. Secondly, he should limit his time with sedentary activities like video games, TV and surfing internet. Finally, he should prohibit himself to stay up all night.

Once children are overweight, it requires a lot of effort and commitment for them to gain normal weight. The most important thing he should do is to engage in at least an hour of physical activity like running, gymnastics, jumping rope, playing soccer, etc. While eating he should turn off TV. He ought to develop healthy habits that may last a lifetime.

Practising healthy eating, exercising regularly and reducing the amount of time spent in sedentary activities are the best ways to prevent his obesity.
