Study Note - Unit 1

Letter to the Editor (NEB-2080)

In recent days, a large number of youths have been migrating to foreign lands for employment. Write a letter to the editor of a national daily in about 180 words explaining what can be done to hold them in the native land.

Dear Sir,

I am writing to express my deep concern about the increasing trend of youth migrating abroad for employment. While seeking better opportunities is understandable, we must consider how to keep our talented young people in our native land.

First, the government should focus on creating more job opportunities. Investing in industries like technology, agriculture, and renewable energy can generate employment and provide attractive career paths.

Second, we need to improve the quality of education and skills training. By aligning educational programs with market demands, we can ensure our youth are well-equipped for available jobs.

Finally, encouraging a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship can inspire young people to start their own businesses, contributing to the economy and creating jobs.

By taking these steps, we can help our youth see a future in our country and reduce the urge to seek opportunities elsewhere.

Sincerely,

Suraj Thapa
